T-2077 is a futuristic watch created by the Polish brand Błonie together with CD Projekt RED GEAR. The watch uses state-of-the-art Blockchain technology to confirm its authenticity.
There has never been such a project in Poland before. Its implementation, although very successful, required a huge amount of work in a short period of time. We had two months for the whole thing.

You can see the watch and buy last pieces HERE. When creating application for NFT certification, our priority was, of course, the user. What flow will be most beneficial to him? How will they deal with people who, when buying a watch, have no idea at all what Blockchain is? In the case of collectible products, their value increases over time, so how do we secure the certificate so that the user can use it in 20, 30 or 50 years?
The first most important decision was therefore to choose the network on which to base the whole process. After the spectacular failures of many Web3 projects, we had to choose the tool that guarantees the greatest longevity, efficiency and environmental friendliness. We chose Ethereum. Firstly, we are familiar with Solidity language. In accordance with our custom coding philosophy, we create our solutions from scratch. The code for the entire application was 100% created by us. Secondly, Ethereum as a network has already been validated many times, survived thousands of attacks and stress tests, and is still in excellent shape. Ethereum also has a great developer base, and the community is oriented towards openness and development. This guarantees its survival for many years to come. In addition, Ethereum has gained a new consensus that has reduced energy consumption by more than 99% and is currently the most efficient and green solution on the market.

We also had to choose where the user would store his certificate. The solutions were two. We could use existing applications (blockchain wallets) or provide our own application. We chose an existing wallet - Metamask. There were several considerations in favor of this choice. We must keep in mind that the watch was purchased by people who are familiar with Blockchain and those who will be dealing with it for the first time. Naturally - for two groups - the best solution is the one that is proven and most intuitive. Most Web3 users already know and own Metamask - for them the whole process was the easiest. Those who were just learning about Blockchain - could learn about the most popular, proven and market-tested wallet, which has extensive instructions and support. Ultimately - the large user base, market testing and popularity guarantees that Metamask as a tool will remain on the market, and our users are guaranteed that in 20, 30 or 50 years when they want to sell the watch - they will still be able to do so.

At the same time, we created and tested an intuitive manual for our application and our helpdesk. The problems were few, only three, which were resolved in 1-2 days. This shows that we understood our users well, and even those who were dealing with the block network for the first time carried out the certification process on their own.  

We also wanted every user to be able to show off their certificate, after all, they are one of the 700 people in the world who have it. Putting the NFT on Ethereum allows it to be displayed on Opensea, for example, or set as a profile picture on Twitter. We know from user reactions that this was a very good decision. The certificates are proudly displayed in the buyers' collections.

Thus, the entire process and certification went as follows. The user received the watch together with a QR code secured with our proprietary technology. Keeping in mind that most people scan QR codes with their phones - the solution was created with this priority. However, we also provided full responsiveness up to 4K.  After scanning the code - our personalized application for creating (minting) and sending certificates was launched, which is connected to our smart contract on the main Ethereum network. The user pastes the address of his wallet, and the NFT goes to him automatically.

The whole thing was fully personalized graphically and technically. We created consistent graphics, in the climate of a dystopian Night City. This allowed users to feel the magic of the world created by CDP, after all, the watch is a part of it. In this way, we can customize the applications for each project according to the idea and branding of our clients. Similarly, the case is with the flow of the whole application, which can be freely modified to the needs of buyers.
In conclusion - we are aware of the limitations of our solution, but all our decisions have been made keeping in mind the good of the user, guarantees of safety and viability, and time constraints. We consider the first Polish NFT certification project to be very successful. Our solution tested on the main Ethereum network is ready to scale.

We will definitely look towards linking NFC and NFT technologies. This would provide even more integration and security. We want to work with manufacturers right from the design stage to make NFT even more integrated into the product. A perfect example is Bulgari watches, where QR codes are engraved directly on the watch.
All of our solutions, thanks to our philosophy and approach, can be customized to meet the individual needs of each customer. Our solution is market tested and proven by the most demanding users.
